Things to know
Permit Required
You need to apply for your permit at least three weeks before your wedding date.
The permit does not guarantee exclusive use of the area. The area will remain open to the public. Park visitors will be allowed to watch the wedding ceremony and activities.
Access to park visitors may not be blocked or impeded by wedding. Use will be monitored for compliance.
The ceremony will be spot checked by NPS personnel for compliance with your permit and ensure no resource damage is occurring.
General
Open fires are allowed only in designed sites.
Your application fee includes a 2 hour block ($50 per additional hour).
Parking
Vehicles must be parked in designated parking area.
Vehicles entering the park for the wedding are subject to the $35 entrance fee.
Zion Canyon Scenic Drive is closed to vehicles March through November. Access to this area is by shuttle bus only.

Decor
Foot travel will be restricted to established roadways and identified permitted trails.
No physical changes may be made to the environment.
Any decorations will need prior approval.
Throwing of confetti, rice, birdseed and similar items is prohibited.
Releasing birds, butterflies or other animals is prohibited.
Banners, signs, etc are prohibited.
Any trash must be removed from the area at the completion of the event.
Flowers
Live plants and/or flower arrangements are permitted provided that neither live plant or flower arrangements contain any seed pods whether dried or live.
Tables and chairs
Use of the Grotto picnic area of the Kolob Canyons picnic area for reception gatherings is on a first come, first serve basis. No portions therof may be reserved.
Special permission needed for chairs and tables.
Sound and power
No public address system or amplified music. Noise levels can only be normal speaking volums.
Electrical power will not be furnished nor will generators be allowed.
Food and beverage
Food service is prohibited.
Photography
A separate Commercial Photography Permit may be required if event is complex.
